Do you believe the old adage, "A picture is worth a thousand words"? Here at A Beacon of Hope, WE DO! We believe it so much, that ultrasound services began at Pregnancy Center of Johns Creek in February 2007 with Pregnancy Center of Decatur following suit in March 2010. As a result, both sites now operate as medical clinics. In fact, our patients may very well receive the earliest prenatal care available anywhere! At times, a woman may be moved from the counseling room to the ultrasound suite within minutes of receiving a positive pregnancy test. The ultrasound confirms three critical pieces of information as early as 6 weeks of gestation: ensures the pregnancy is in the uterus, establishes the estimated age of the baby and confirms heart motion. Since the 1970's, ultrasound technology has allowed us to image the unborn, revealing many of the mysteries of early life within the womb. Indeed, this technology has confirmed what we have believed all along: that all life begins at conception, that all life is sacred and that all life is created By God in His image. A picture is indeed worth a thousand words!
