- March 22 (training for all volunteers)
- March 23 (additional interview, training and orientation for volunteers that desire patient/client interaction is required) Patient care volunteer roles do require a 1 year commitment, serving the same shift 4 hours per week.
- October 18th (training for all volunteers)
- October 19th (additional interview, training and orientation for volunteers that desire patient/client interaction is required) Patient care volunteer roles do require a 1 year commitment, serving the same shift 4 hours per week.
Time: 9:30 - 5:00 (the office opens at 9:15)
Location: Johns Creek location, lower lever, training room
Step 1: Complete your application and return it to A Beacon of Hope, Att: Vanessa Sokic.
Step 2: Pay for training. Once this payment is received, you will receive a note from Beacon confirming your registration.
One day training for all volunteers:
Two day training, required for all volunteers with any form of patient interaction:
*This fee covers the training manual, the trainer, and a nice lunch.
**The two day training is a great training and highly recommended for all volunteers, but only required for volunteers with any form of patient interaction.
Step 3: Contact Vanessa to schedule an interview (required).
Step 4: If you are interested in patient/client interaction a secondary interview and day 2 of training is required. To schedule the secondary interview contact Wendy Weekly (Johns Creek) or Suzy Brister (Decatur).

ALL steps need to be completed 10 days prior to the first day of training in order to ensure your spot. If there are less than 8 individuals fully "processed" 10 days before the training date, it might be cancelled. Please work with us and understand our need to use our time wisely. Please be sure to verify training prior to the first day.

Due to the nature of our work, training can not be taken lightly. If you are feeling led to join Beacon in the work that God has placed before us, we would ask that you do so according to our training requirements and schedule. We would love to have you join our team.

If you are post abortive and would like to be a volunteer with patient interaction, we would love to have you join our team once you have completed post abortion recovery. We offer a great post abortion recovery program two times per year. Please feel comfortable discussing this with Vanessa. All shared information will remain confidential.
