Are you the parent of a tween or a teen?  Are you wondering how to counter the sex saturated culture that our kids are growing up in?  Believe me, you are not alone.  The Prevention Team at a Beacon of Hope is eager to assist parents in reference to the hot topic of sex outside of marriage.

Parents MUST be the primary source of effective relationship education for their children.

Looking for ways to implement healthy relationship concepts into the daily routine of life?

The goal is to empower parents to feel better equipped to communicate with their kids and encourage healthy relationships for life. 

REAL Freedom-

REAL Freedom is a training that provides parents with the necessary strategies and medically accurate information to talk to their teens about sex. Topics covered in the workshop include teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, dating, refusal skills, and influences:

• Details of how different the world is now from when we were teenagers.
• A medically accurate overview of the consequences of teen sex including: physical, psychological, financial, and social.
• Examples of "the world's" message for sex; friends with benefits and strategies for countering such messages. 
• Tips for communicating with their kids more effectively.
• Parents learn the importance of being consistent with discipline and the benefits of house guidelines.   
• Parents hear about the benefits of communicating well with the parents of their teenager's friends.
• Parents receive practical tools to help them positively influence their teens.

3 Hour Training with lunch provided, allows open discussion and Q & A. This training is geared towards parents who want the REAL details.   

• Lunch is provided
• The fee for the training is $45.00 unless you are an active volunteer at either center- see below.
• The training location is the lower level of A Beacon of Hope (Johns Creek Location), unless a school or church invites us to thier location.
