WOW! Do we have some incredible students!!!! God has really blessed A Beacon of Hope with some students that are willing to serve. We often receive phone calls from local churches, schools, youth groups... with a desire to serve at A Beacon of Hope.
~If you are feeling led to serve at Beacon or The College Women's Center, here are some details to assist you in the process~
A Beacon of Hope and The College Women's Center have to be very careful to respect and honor the autonomy of our patients at all times. It is very difficult for us to have H.S. students serving as volunteers due to the risk of potentially dishonoring a young lady entering into the center for an initial visit. Since we desire to always honor our patients yet at the same time we would love to have more young people serve at A Beacon of Hope and The College Women's Center we have come up with a plan.
A Beacon of Hope will be offering Community Service opportunities on site several times through out the school year. We will not be able to consistently create new service projects on an as needed basis but we would love to have you join us for the currently scheduled community service times:

Vanessa will meet with students on-site in the conference room with a project that is time sensitive for the organization. These projects will include mailings, baby bottle boomerang preparation, creating gifts for the current patients attending programming, etc...
In order to make a committment to a community service time slot please complete the enclosed form and email it to Mimi Harris immediately. There are only 20 slots available per community service opportunity so your registration is important!

Tours: Many schools and churches often contact A Beacon of Hope and The College Women's Center requesting a tour of our facility. We would love to have the opportunity to show your students, small group, youth group..... our facility and discuss what A Beacon of Hope and The College Women's Center do on a daily basis. In order to schedule a tour please complete the form below and send it directly to Vanessa.
To schedule a Community Service Project or tour at The College Women's Center please contact Kelly Hardee. Forms need to be completed regardless of which site you desire to tour.
