“For the Spirit of God has made me,
the Breath of the Almighty keeps me alive.”
JOB 33:4
In 1997 an Alpharetta resident, realized an unavoidable need to open a Pregnancy Resource Center to offer women in crisis pregnancies, life affirming care. With one part time director and a handful of servant hearted Christian women, the birth of a legacy began in a little red brick house now known as A Beacon of Hope. That first year, 64 women were lovingly served. The first baby born was placed for adoption. Thanks to this place, he has already celebrated his tenth birthday. There was a time where he would not otherwise seen the light of day. His mother and others were provided with hope and unconditional love of Christ and many will soon enter their first decade of life!
A Beacon of Hope’s foundation and credibility in the community has grown consistently. Now, through the combined efforts of a full time director, staff members, an independent Board and in collaboration with the community including: local hospitals, county health departments, physicians, churches, and government agencies, over 3,500 individuals are served annually, without regard to age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability or other arbitrary circumstances.
